Our Story
What God is doing in Anna—and how you can be part of it.

The Beginning
Our story began with a vision—to reach our community with truth, hope, and the life-changing message of Jesus.
Through prayer, faith, and a desire to serve, New Life United Pentecostal Church was planted in Anna, Texas in 2010, under the leadership of Rev. Micheal J. Bellm, with the belief that God had something special for this city. Initially, the congregation met in several different locations before settling into a more permanent home at 114 W. 4th Street.
Rev. Bellm continued to serve as pastor of New Life UPC until his retirement in February 2016.
After Rev. Bellm's tenure, Rev. Justin Craun was elected as Pastor. Under Rev. Craun’s leadership, New Life UPC continued to grow, necessitating a larger facility to accommodate the church's needs.
In 2019, a new lease was signed at 120 W 4th Street, expanding the church by over 900 square feet. However, the space was not move-in ready and required a complete renovation before the church could occupy its new home. With assistance from other local churches within our fellowship, New Life UPC was able to hold its first official service before too long.
Rev. Craun faithfully led the congregation until he resigned his post as Pastor in August 2025.
Upon Rev. Craun’s resignation, Rev. Derrick Weeks graciously stepped in as Interim Pastor, while the board searched for a replacement.
What we are doing now
- Love God: Through fervent prayer, biblical teaching and authentic worship
- Love Others: By nurturing a genuine community of supportive believers who consistently work to expand the Kingdom of God
- Growing Together: In love, faith, biblical knowledge, stewardship, generosity, hospitality, talents, callings and gifts.
You belong here, come home.
Only the beginning
As a church body, we believe we have only scratched the surface of what God wants to do at New Life Church and in the city of Anna. We believe our best days are ahead of us.
